Research has shown that the majority of students with disabilities have the ability to meet high standards when provided with specifically designed instruction and support.  The Louisiana Department of Education’s mission is to ensure that every child in every school has access to instruction delivered by well-trained teachers who are accountable for the academic success of every child.
